Faery - Walking between Two Worlds
The Celtic Mysteries offer a path to your real self. However, the more they are approached, the more they seem enveloped by bewildering mists that obscure the goal and discourage the merely passive seeker. A secret fire must be kindled to light the path, the ignition of the traveller's own conscious, inner activity.
After a free first consultation, we will develop a tailor-made map for you. The Mythological Cycle of early Irish literature are used as portals for shamanic journeying into your inner landscape and the invisible world of the Sidhe. These tales function as mirrors to our state of mind. It will be important to keep a log of your adventures.
To reflect on myths is to reflect on oneself. One role of myth is the restoration of an awareness of the natural cycle of birth, life and death - Peter O'Connor, Beyond the Mist
In shamanic terms, we are exploring the realm of the Middle-World, where duality is at play and interlaces with the mundane and visible. Here more caution and protection is preferable, as not everyone we meet is well-intentioned.
Faery Initiation
Within the many paths of shamanic practice, there may be a calling to a more specific one. This call is best initiated from the side of the unseen allies themselves.
N.B. Faery is not about the little winged creatures you see in children’s books. Tall and powerful, they belong the 'non-ordinary world', a parallel world very close at hand and immediately accessible.
The hawthorn is strongly associated with 'the Other Crowd' in Celtic folklore
The Shining Ones
I create an opportunity for those who feel drawn to work with the Shining Ones, the Sidhe. This apprenticeship is exciting as it can also lead to contact with Nature Spirits, which will take us into the Forest and Tree networks.
Faery shamanic teachings are grounded, enchanting and inviting, without being overly mystical or fluffy. Learn to follow the call, to walk between two worlds and awaken to the soft power of playfulness within a timeless community.
